Joseph A. McCollian, III. age 41, son of Lydia (Terri) and the late Joseph McCollian Jr., passed away on Tuesday January 29th in Springfield, PA. He is survived by his loving wife Danielle (DeLucca) McCollian, and children Dakota, Gianna and Joseph. His sisters Amy M. Keith Novak, Kelly M. Robert Stone, along with their children, will miss him always. His Aunt Nancy and Uncle Bob were second parent to him. The DeLucca family (the late Mary and Frank and children Frank, Jeanine, Mary and Paula) welcomed him with open arms. Born in Middletown, Pa on June 25, 1977, he attended Penn Wood High School and Temple University. Joe was raised in Aldan, PA, continued to raise his family in Springfield, PA and took great pride in his family and construction business. He was a diehard Eagles and Phillies fan. Joe ran First Choice Home Remodeling, a general contracting business, which he started with his father. He was a hard worker and dedicated to quality. Joe was a loyal and loving son, husband, father, brother, uncle, and cousin. He and Danielle loved to go on adventures together. During their dating years they even kept a file of “fun things to do with me and you” so they always had something to choose from. They became great Philadelphia foodies enjoying many great restaurants. They learned to enjoy a good glass of wine and even took several wine classes. He introduced Danielle to sushi, which eventually became one of their favorite foods to explore. They enjoyed travelling together. Together they went on their dream trips to Australia and Japan plus other trips to tropical locations and annual trips to Ocean City MD with their extended family. With the addition of their children, he settled into being a family man, making sure they had a loving home and enjoying weekends filled with family friendly activities. He was always game to go with the family to the latest movie or one of the kids’ favorite fun centers. He was a soccer dad this past fall watching Joey play soccer for the first time. He loved watching Gianna dance and was the proud dad at her annual recitals. Joe was a sports fan. He grew up swimming and playing football. He loved spending his Sunday afternoons watching the Eagles. He usually settled in with some good football food and yelled at the TV cheering them on while exchanging texts with his friend Mike about the plays. He enjoyed going to Phillies games. He had season tickets for several years with his best friend Kyle. Joe and Danielle took several trips to Spring Training and they never missed the opening night game. His goal was to instill this love of the Eagles and Phillies in Joey.
