James’ Obituary JAMES OLIVER TURNER, 64, passed away due to injuries he received in an automobile accident Friday evening, December 28, 2018 in Crescent City. Jim was born in Valdosta, Georgia and came to live in the Crescent City area in 2010 coming from Sanderson, Florida. He began working for the Boilermaker’s Union # 199 in 1973 as a pressure tube welder until his retirement in 2010. He was a member of Pierson Church of God of Prophecy and the Fraternal Order of Eagles #4355 as well as the Eagle Rider’s Club. He appreciated riding his Harley and playing old country songs on his acoustic guitar. He enjoyed family and friends getting together for barbecues or grilling, dancing, fishing and boating. He loved his country and was a big supporter of President Trump. He leaves his wife of 40 years, Shelia; two sons, James Brian and Michael David Turner; sisters, Carolyn Turner, Kathryn (Robbie) Goens and Angie (Steve) Boyett; Grandchildren, Cason, Kinley and Gabriel and many nieces and nephews. The family will welcome guests at the funeral home for visitation on Saturday, January 5, 2019 at 10:00 AM. Memorial services will begin at 11:00 AM with Brother Tommy Ledford officiating. Read More
