MR. GARY WAYNE “WOODY” WOODS, age 71 of Clanton, passed away surrounded by by his family and friends on Tuesday, January 15, 2019 at Shelby Baptist Medical Center in Alabaster. He was born in Shelbyville, KY on January 27, 1947, son of the late Harold C. Woods and the late Juanita Catlett Woods. He was a sales manager for United Utility Supply. He is survived by his wife, Judy Edwards Woods of Clanton; Children, Stacey (Lindi) Watson of Clanton, Trent (Shannon) Watson of Clanton, Monica (Victor) Hallman of Clanton, Steven (Patricia) Woods of Shelbyville, KY, and Brian Woods of Shelbyville, KY; 8 grandchildren; Mother-in-law, Sarah Edwards of Clanton; Siblings, Larry (Darlene) Woods of Taylorsville, KY, Piper Irvin of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, and Amy Lynn Smart of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; and numerous other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Juanita Woods. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Friday, January 18, 2019 at 7:00 pm from the Chapel of Ellison Memorial Funeral Home in Clanton with Rev. Wendell Kelley officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 7:00 pm on Friday at the funeral home.
