Doris, age 93, had a very full and fruitful life. She married Elmer in 1942 while he was still in the Army. They were together for 48 years before his passing in 1990. Doris is survived by 3 of their children: Robert (wife Ginna); Joyce (husband Kenneth); Laurie (husband Morris); 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grand daughter. Each loved her dearly and called her Granny or Big Granny. Either way, she was always ready with lots of hugs and cold lemon drops from the fridge. Some of Doris’s favorite things to do: genealogy, sewing, crochet, knit, cook and bake for others, she was an avid reader, and she loved QVC. Our mother’s loving kindness was only out shined by her wonderful smile that just lit up a room. She loved her family, her church, and helping others. This world will miss her, but Heaven shines just a litter brighter tonight.
