Sympathies message

  1. My Dear Aunt Estelle–I am crying. 🙁
When I was a kid, we were so poor. I am Joyce’s eldest daughter, Teresa. Estelle would invite me to her beautiful home and we would do Saturday cleaning together. Afterwards, she would take me to eat and buy me an outfit and give me some cash. She didn’t need my help cleaning! She was giving a young teenage girl a break and a treat. I will never forget that. Ever. After I divorced my husband of many years, Estelle and I talked. My Mom was already gone. Estelle offered me compassion and understanding and support that I didn’t expect. I mean, no one wants to hear about your ugly divorce. But, she listened and loved me. I tried calling a few times after Estelle went to Arlington. But, bless her heart she didn’t know who I was anymore. I have thought and dreamed of her many times and the friendship we formed. What a beautiful, strong, witty, intelligent, and marvelous woman. I haven’t seen her in years. But, she lives in my heart!
