OBITUARY Doris Koch November 6, 1925 – January 8, 2019 Doris Amelia Gertrude Koch age 93 of rural Sikeston passed away Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at the Sikeston Convalescent Center. She was born November 6, 1925 at her home near Canalou, MO., to the late Frederick A. Geske and Cora E. L. Gruen Geske. She graduated from Canalou High School in 1943 and attended Southeast Missouri State College in Cape Girardeau, MO. She was an active member of the Concordia Lutheran Church. On September 22, 1945, she married Markus E. W. Koch who preceded her in death on April 22, 1987. Survivors include: one son and daughter-in-law, Tim and Nellie Koch of Sikeston, MO.; one daughter-in-law, Judy Koch of Cape Girardeau, MO.; one daughter, Becki Koch of Sikeston, MO.; five grandchildren, Jim and Heather Koch of Columbia, MO., Jeff and Julie Koch of Cape Girardeau, MO., Jonathan Koch of Columbia, MO., Emily and Ryan Shields of Springfield, MO. and Stephen Koch of Springfield, MO.; and eight great grandsons. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one brother, Dale F. Geske on March 3, 2012 and one son, John Markus Koch on September 28, 2018. Visitation will be held Friday January 11, 2019 from 12:00 p.m. until the time of Funeral Service at 1:00 p.m. at the Concordia Lutheran Church in Sikeston, MO. with Rev. Alan Wollenburg, officiating. Interment will follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston, MO. Pallbearers: Jim Koch, Jeff Koch, Jonathan Koch, Stephen Koch, Ryan Shields, and Tim Geske. Memorial donations may be sent to Concordia Lutheran Church of Sikeston.
