Donald Earl Stephens of Mount Dora Florida January 27 1941 January 18 2019

Donald Earl Stephens, 77, of Mount Dora, Florida passed into Heaven peacefully surrounded by his family on Friday, January 18th. Donald was a life long resident of Lake County. He graduated from Eustis High School in 1958 and went on to graduate from The University of Florida. Donald was Lake Country property appraiser for two years before moving on to the Department of Revenue for the State of Florida. Besides working a full time job, Donald worked tirelessly with a family owned citrus business on Hwy. 441 and lived 54 years on a farm raising beef cattle. What little spare time remained, Donald loved the Florida Gators and classic cars. Donald is survived by a loving wife of 54 years, Carol Simpson Stephens along with children Cindy Stephens Donnell (husband Jed), Todd Stephens (wife Amy) and Mark Stephens. Donald was blessed with four grandchildren Jackson, Austin, Brock and Shelby. Also survived by his identical twin brother, Ronald Stephens of Eustis. A celebration of life will be held Wednesday January 23rd at the First Baptist Church Mount Dora 1000 East 1st Ave. Mount Dora Florida 32757. The family will receive guests at 10:00AM followed by a service at 11:00AM, In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be sent to First Baptist Church Mount Dora Building Fund.
