Obituary for Don Sanger Don Sanger passed away December 28, 2018 at his home. He was 61 years old. Don was born on May 23, 1957 in Denver, CO to Jacob and Katherine (Goetz) Sanger. He graduated from Erie High School in 1977 where he lettered in Track. Don worked for the City of Boulder for 32 years before his retirement in 2012. He worked in utility maintenance but enjoyed plowing snow most of all. In his free time Don enjoyed going to car shows, gardening, watching wrestling and spending time with his six grandkids. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother Joseph and sister Charlotte. Don is survived by his children Cliff (Ashley) Sanger and Charlotte (Coban) Bassett; his grandchildren Hali, Hannah, Charlie and Katie Bassett and Justus and Jaikah Sanger; his brothers Jake, Jim (Kim), George (Julie) and Ray; and his sisters Kathy, Sherry (Troy) and Phyllis (Randy); as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. A celebration of Don’s life will take place from 11:00 am – 2:00 pm on Friday, January 11, 2019 at the Erie Community Center at 450 Powers Street, Erie, CO 80516. Cremation entrusted to Ahlberg Funeral Chapel and Crematory. Private family burial at Foothills Gardens of Memory in Longmont at a later date. Visit www.ahlbergfuneralchapel.com to share condolences.
