OBITUARY David Leroy Covault April 28, 1942 – January 30, 2019 A graveside service for David Leroy Covault, 76, of Lindale, will be 2 pm Friday, February 1, 2019, at Cool Springs Cemetery in Canton. Mr. Covault passed away January 30, 2019 in Tyler. He was born April 28, 1942 in Piqua, Ohio to Harley Leroy and Dorothy Alma Drake Covault. David grew up in Ohio. He joined the US Air Force in 1963 and served in Vietnam. David worked for Texas Instruments and retired from SGS-Thomson. He was a member of New Harmony Baptist Church in Tyler. David loved old cars and going to car shows. He was a wonderful and Godly man. Mr. Covault is preceded in death by his parents, Harley and Dorothy Covault, and a niece. David is survived by his wife, Jewel Katherine Covault of Lindale; two daughters and their husbands: Debora and Gary Sapp of Tyler and Denise and David Wyatt of Royse City; step-daughter, Tracy Hykel of North Richland Hills; his former wife, Patricia Reynolds of Royse City; five grandchildren: Matthew and Kinly Covault, Amanda and Josh Gray, Leighann Sapp, Michael Sapp and Molly Hykel; two sisters: Dorothy Huffman of Sidney, Ohio and Dolores Bair of Tipp City, Ohio; and many nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends from 12:30 to 1:30 pm Friday at the funeral home. If desired, memorials may be given to the New Harmony Baptist Church Music Ministry, 10251 FM 724 Tyler, TX 75704.
