OBITUARY Cherry Jean Biggs Covington March 27, 1943 – January 31, 2019 Cherry Jean Biggs Covington, age 75, of Conover, NC, passed away on January 31, 2019, at Catawba Valley Medical Center in Hickory, NC. Born March 27, 1943 in Richmond County, NC, she was the daughter of the late James Oscar Biggs and Carrie Biggs. Cherry was a loving wife and Godly woman who took special pride in her children and grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by daughter, Annette Louise Wynn; brothers, Jimmy Biggs and Jack Biggs; and sister, Annie Ruth Hogan. Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 60 years, William H. Covington; son, Adam “Troy” Covington of Conover; grandchildren, Cobie Isenhour, Jason Wynn, Christy Dunbar, Brandon Wynn; great-grandchildren, Abigail, Addison, and Landon. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 2, 2019 at the Drum Funeral Home Chapel in Conover, NC, with the Rev. Dr. Roger Hensley officiating. Burial will follow at Catawba Memorial Park in Hickory, NC.
