OBITUARY Charlotte E. Chapman March 18, 1927 – December 31, 2018 Charlotte E. Chapman, 91, of Davenport, IA passed away Monday, December 31, 2018 at the Kahl Home for the Aged. Funeral services will be at 12:00pm Friday, January 4, 2018 in the Runge Mortuary Chapel. Visitation will be a half hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to The American Cancer Society or Scott County Humane Society. Online condolences may be expressed at Charlotte Etta Thomas was born March 18, 1927 in Fairfield Township, Fayette County, IA to James and Luseva (Voshell) Thomas. She attended Wadena High School in Wadena, IA. She then moved to Davenport, IA and worked at Walgreens. One June 29, 1951 Charlotte married Vernon Chapman at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Davenport, IA. They enjoyed many years camping and traveling the country. They also loved to play bingo. Charlotte is survived by one brother, Milton “Woodie” (Kay) Thomas and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon, on July 15, 2011, parents, six brothers, eight sisters and two half-brothers.
