Charles Robert Desane 2019

Loving Husband and Father Waynesville- Charles Robert Desane, 71, of Waynesville passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 26, 2019. He was preceded in death by his mother, Anne Yowell and father, Charles Baldson along with his beloved dog, Dude. While on earth he was a man of many occupations: a medic in Vietnam, a mental health practitioner, a clammer and fisherman, screen and stage actor, stuntman, contractor and most recently a published poet. He took the most pride in his role as a husband to his loving wife and partner of 42 years, Scott Richmond, a father to his daughter Jenny and his son, Joe Burgess, her husband and a daughter of the heart, Stephanie Jacobson (Eric) Gregory and their daughter, Vivian Gregory. However, he took the most pride in being a grandfather to Clay and Noah and watching them grow into fine young men. Because he lived his life full of passion and adventure, he has touched many lives and will be missed. Chuck is also survived by his sisters, Peggy (Orazio) Ciccarelli, Judith Velandia and Patricia Biancardo-Burgin; nephew, Andrew Ciccarelli; nieces, Lisa (Amamar) Shah, Melissa (Richard) Amdur; great niece, Olive Rose Amdur; great nephews, Roman Shah and Dylan Shah. Casual attire is recommended.

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Charles Robert Desane 2019.

Sympathies message

  1. I am so sorry I missed you, my friend. You were a great actor and an even better teacher. My deepest sympathy to your family and loved ones. I hope they are all doing well. I felt a disturbance in the Force and now I know it was your passing. The world is a little bit darker without your light, but you will be remembered. I hope someone will email me with more details. God Bless you, Chuck! Save me seat for when I get there!

    -Eric Tilley
