Charles J. Glunz II, 73, of Lower Paxton Township, passed away, Friday, January 11, 2019 at Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center. He was born on November 30, 1945 in Pottsville, PA to the late Clemens and Catherine (Ecker) Glunz. He was preceded in death by a brother Peter Glunz and a sister Christine Ladavat. Charles was a United States Army Veteran of the Vietnam War and a Purple Heart recipient. His career was in Mortgage Banking, and after retirement he devoted his time caring for his grandchildren. Charles attended St. Margaret Mary Alacoque Catholic Church, Harrisburg. Surviving are his wife Cheryl B. (Fox) Glunz, his daughter Tiffany Nicole Hetrick (Brent) of Harrisburg, his 3 sons, Charles Joseph Glunz III of Harrisburg, Gregory Thomas Glunz of Harrisburg, David Matthew Glunz of Harrisburg, his 3 sisters, Mary Muir (Eric) of Lewisberry, Barbara Miller (Jim) of Harrisburg, Stephanie Kreysar of Mechanicsburg, his 2 brothers Barney Glunz (Barbara) of Harrisburg, Gerry Glunz (Linda) of Harrisburg. His 6 grandchildren, Joshua Thomas Hetrick, Andrew David Hetrick, Ella Nicole Hetrick, Zachary Thomas Glunz, Ryan Landon Glunz, Alexander David Glunz, and many loving nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11am on Thursday, January 17, 2019 at St. Margaret Mary Alacoque Catholic Church. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery, Harrisburg. Viewing will be from 10am until 11am on Thursday in the church. Arrangements are under the care of the Hetrick-Bitner Funeral Home, Harrisburg.
