OBITUARY Charles David Jones Sr. September 26, 1931 – January 17, 2019 Charles David Jones, Jr., age 87, passed away on January 17, 2019 in Thomasville. He was born in Bienville, LA on September 26, 1931 to the late Charlie Boson Jones and Julie Allie Langford Jones. Charles proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. He went on to retire from the Federal Aviation Administration as an air traffic controller. He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Bonnie Chambers Jones, and seven siblings. Charles leaves behind his children, Charles “David” (Jackie) Jones, Jr., Christina Rena (John) Myers, and Steven Edward Jones; grandchildren, Adrian Jones, Brandon Jones, and Zoe Huang-Jones; brother, Don (Jo) Jones; sisters-in-law, Debbie Chambers (Jerry) Mason and Ramona Tucker Inglett; brother-in-law, Ed (Dean) Chambers; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and loved ones. The funeral service will be held on Sunday, January 20th at 2pm at Frank Vogler & Sons Funeral Home in Clemmons. The family will receive friends for a visitation at 1:30pm prior to the service.
