Bonnie Lou Wells Moore 2019

Bonnie Lou Wells Moore, 75, of Owensboro, died on Sunday, January 13, 2019 at her home. She was born September 20, 1943 in Habit, KY to the late Roy and Alice Frakes Wells. She graduated from Daviess County High School in 1962 and earned a Bachelor’s degree from Kentucky Wesleyan College in 1971. She earned her Master’s degree in English from Western Kentucky University in 1975 and later received her Rank 1. Bonnie taught English at Apollo High School for 27 years and also taught English at Owensboro Community College before retiring in 1998. She enjoyed her family, reading, theater, traveling, writing, cooking and was an animal lover. Bonnie authored three books that she was very proud of and was an avid reader and book reviewer online. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her infant sister, Patricia Wells; brothers, Roy Dean Wells and Delbert Wells. Survivors include her sons, Donald Miller (Penelope), Mark Miller (Misty), Luke Miller (Suzie); daughter, Lauren Greenwell (Matthew); eight grandchildren, Brittany, David and Jasmine Miller, Madilyn and Maxten Miller, Mollie Miller, Elizabeth Stewart and Eli Greenwell; brothers, John Wells (Brenda) and Jerry Wells (Jo); sisters-in-law, Jackie Wells and Jean Ann Wells. Services will be at 3 p.m. on Sunday at James H. Davis Funeral Home & Crematory. Visitation is from 1 to 3 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Daviess County Public Library are appreciated.
