Obituary for Barbara K. Gavitt (Kenyon) Barbara K. Gavitt of Beach Street, Westerly, passed away at The Westerly Hospital on Tuesday, November 13, 2018 at the age of 97. Born in Bradford, Barbara was the daughter of the late Ray and Mary Kenyon and the wife of the late Robert L. Gavitt. She is survived by her two daughters, Nancy E. Gavitt and Susan Follett, both of Westerly; three grandchildren, Richard Hagerman, Daniel (Michelle) Hagerman and Benjamin Carroll (Anne Barnhart); three great grandchildren, Jonathan, Lillian and Brooke Hagerman; and a large extended family who all lovingly called her “Bomma”. Barbara was a member of the First Baptist Church of Charlestown at Quonochontaug and a longtime volunteer at The Westerly Hospital. She was also an active participant of the Senior Companion Program. A Funeral Service will be held at First Baptist Church of Charlestown, RI at Quonochontaug, in Charlestown on Monday at 1pm. Burial will be private. Gaffney-Dolan Funeral Home, 59 Spruce St., Westerly is in care of the arrangements.
