Stephen H. Lindsay, 70, of Lima, passed away on Saturday, December 22, 2018 at Lima Memorial Hospital. He was born on February 7, 1948 in Rochester, NY to the late Henry and Roselynn Lindsay. On February 5, 1982, he married Mary {Mann} who survives him in Lima. In addition, he is survived by his children: Cheryl (Jon) Lindsay Ibarra, Craig Lindsay, and Cara (Steve) Schmerber, step-children: Vincent (Diann) Sarno, Mary Elizabeth Bodkin, Anita Joan Baaske, and Judith (Frank) Jamison, 12 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, siblings: Lynn Lindsay Griepp, Mary Lindsay, Sue Camphausen, Phil Lindsay, Fred Lindsay, and Dave Lindsay, as well as his beloved dog Sadie. Stephen loved working in his yard, doing landscaping, cooking, and especially playing golf. He was artistic, loved to do crafts, listen to music, and dancing. He was a volunteer at Johnny Appleseed Metro Park District and was a member of the Knights of Columbus and St. Charles Catholic Church. His family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 26, 2018 from 4-8pm at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home, Lima, OH. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:30am on Thursday, December 27, 2018 at St. Charles Catholic Church. Friends may visit one hour prior to the service from 10:30-11:30am at the church. Fr. Kent Kaufman will officiate. Military honors will be held by VFW Post 1275. In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Johnny Appleseed Metro Park District of charity of donor’s choice.
