SSGT Willie Robinson III 2018

SSGT Willie Robinson, 69, of Petersburg, went to be with the Lord on Monday, November 19, 2018. He leaves to cherish his memory, his lovely wife, Thelma Robinson; 3 children, Rodney Robinson (Joy), Rosalyn Martin and Tonya Robinson (Marvin); sisters, Carolyn Howard-Harris, Barbara Robinson-Blakes (Larry) and Wanda Heath; 8 grandchildren, Ashley Allen (Frank), Jasmine Martin (Rafer), Andrew Robinson (Elizabeth), Ashauntique Robinson, Tasia Robinson, Tonya T. Robinson, Marvin L. Green, Jr. and Jamarion Green; 9 great-grandchildren, Franshawn Franquan Shaquan, Allen, Javion, Ravon, Zaylaa Martin, TyLayJah Smith, Juliana and London Robinson; devoted friend, William Whaley; loving dogs, Sassy Lee and Runt and host of other loving family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Rebecca Robinson; sons, Corey Saunders and Victor Robinson; sisters, Juanita Poellinitz and Lorene White; brother, Eric Ridley; grandsons, Orlando and Spencer Robinson. Willie proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force from which he retired. He enjoyed woodworking, doing puzzles, fishing and gardening. He loved listening to oldies music and spending time with his family and his two beloved Jack Russel Terriers. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Tuesday, November 27, 2018 at Morrissett Funeral & Cremation Service, 6500 Iron Bridge Rd. (Rte.10) with his Celebration of Life beginning at 12 p.m. He will be laid to rest on Tuesday, November 27, 2018 at 3 p.m. at the Virginia Veterans Cemetery in Amelia.
