Obituary of Sean Collins` Sean P. Collins, age 59, of Poughkeepsie, New York died Saturday, December 8, 2018 at Kaplan Family Hospice Residence of Newburgh, NY. Sean was born February 27, 1959 in Poughkeepsie, New York. He is the son of the late John F. and the late Katherine E. Scott Collins . Sean was a life long resident of Poughkeepsie and a graduate of Poughkeepsie High School class of 1977. Sean served in the United States Navy from 1977 to 1981 as an Electronic Warfare Technician. Sean was a funny and interesting person who loved the fishing, camping, working on computers and was an avid reader. He was employed by Dutchess Community College as a Systems Administrator retiring in 2015. He is survived by his wife Bobette W. Collins of Poughkeepsie, NY., his brother and sister in-law Dennis M. and Lorraine S. Collins of Charlottesville, VA., his sister Katheryne Collins of Lexington VA., his nephew Christian Collins, his niece Melissa O’Bier and two great nieces Arya and Michelle O’Bier. Additionally, he is survived by his Aunt Ruth Van Vleet of Red Hook, NY, Uncle Fred Dyer of Rome, NY and numerous cousins. Funeral services will be private and a memorial service for friends and family is being planned. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Timothy P.
