Samuel’s Obituary Samuel Lee Sikes was born on May 20, 1950 in Lyons, Georgia to the late George Sikes, Sr., and Callie Belle Sikes. Sam received his education in Fort Pierce, Florida, and was a 1969 graduate of Lincoln Park Academy. He proudly served his country as an airman in the U.S. Air Force during Vietnam and as a soldier in the U.S. Army during the Gulf War. After a seventeen year marriage (late Vickie Flagg). Sam retired in the early 90’s and relocated to Fort Pierce to be closer to family and friends. He served on the usher board at St Peter’s Missionary Baptist Church, but He had a love for the outdoors and fast cars. On any given day you could see “Sammy Sikes” riding up Angle Rd on one of his many horses; freedom being his favorite. On Friday, December 22, 2018 @ 6:00am, with his son and daughter by his side, Samuel Lee Sikes drifted from this earth and entered a place “Where pain and suffering no longer exits.” He was preceded in death by Vickie Sikes (Ex-wife) and parents George and Callie Sikes, Sr., grandfather: Pinkie Baker, Grandmother; Susie Jordan, Uncles: Frank Lane, Fred Lane and Bud Lane. Aunt: Vertie Hickman. Those left to cherish his memories: Sons: Michael (Denise) Sikes, Marcus Sikes and Denzel Sikes Daughters: Carla Sikes, LaTonya Sikes and Nicole Sikes. Brothers: George (Roberta) Sikes, Marlon Sikes and Gary Cox. Sisters: Lois ( Curtis) Randolph Sr., Linda Sikes Thomas, and Ramona ( Jonathan) Stanback. Grandchildren: Alana Rae Maldonado, Sydri Sikes, Isaac J. Sikes-Rasby, Taylor Sikes, Sincere Sikes-Claude, Royalti Sikes-Claude, Adrian Allen, Devontay Crawford and Angel Sikes.
