Russell Lee Walton 2018

Russ L. Walton Russell Lee Walton of Parkersburg, passed away unexpectedly December 2, 2018. He was born in Parkersburg, the son of the late John P. and Clara Viola Wright Walton. Russ proudly served his country in the US Army during the Korean War from 1953 to 1955. Russ had worked as a general contractor for close to sixty years in the Mid-Ohio Valley and had a passion for building and remodeling. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, especially on Lake Erie. Being a people person, his family and friends were his life. Russell is survived by two brothers Raymond Walton, Bill Walton (Diane), sisters Inez Ellison (Richard), Shelvajean Hayes. son Russ Walton, two grandsons Luke Walton, Brett Walton and lifelong friend Naomi Ruth Vincent. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sister Carolyn Walton Davis (Jerry), brother in law Bob Hayes and sister in law Virginia Walton, grandparents Will and Freda Wright and Homer and Sarah Walton. Visitation will be held 4 – 8 on Wednesday at Leavitt Funeral Home. Online condolences may be sent to the family at the “Exclusive Provider” for Veterans & Family Memorial Care SM.
