Obituary of Maureen VanBrooker Maureen L. VanBrooker Canandaigua – Maureen VanBrooker, 80, passed away Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at F. F. Thompson Hospital. Maureen was born in Buffalo on August 18, 1938. Her family moved to Canandaigua and in 1958 she married John Allen VanBrooker Jr. (Jack) and began raising a family. For many years the family operated VanBrooker’s Red and White and Maureen worked as a bookkeeper for the store. Maureen loved to travel, and together with Jack, had many wonderful trips. Maureen loved to spend time with her family and in recent years enjoyed watching her cooking shows. Maureen is survived by her husband, Jack, her four children; John, Julie, Michael (Terri) and Jodi (Mike). Maureen also had two grandchildren that she showered with love and who adored her, George and Michaela. She will be sincerely missed by all and we will treasure all of the wonderful memories made together. Friends may call Friday, December 21, from 4 -7 pm at Fuller Funeral Home, Inc. 190 Buffalo St. Canandaigua. A funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 am Saturday, December 22, at St. Mary’s Church, 95 North Main St., Canandaigua. The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at the M.M. Ewing Continuing Care Center for their loving care of Maureen the last two years. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made there.
