Matthew Winston Gunn Matthew Winston Gunn, 51 years old, of Green City, Missouri, passed away Monday, December 24, 2018 at his home. Matthew was born July 29, 1967 in Fort Worth, Texas to Vearon Ray and Nancy (Choate) Gunn. He married Loise (Little) Gunn in Linneus, Missouri on December 11, 2006, she survives of the home. Also surviving: his mother, Nancy Bivins of Cleburne, Texas; his father, Vearon Gunn of Mineral Wells, Texas; a son, Benjamin Landrus of California; two grandchildren; a step daughter, Vanessa Little of Green City; 3 step grandchildren, Alejandro Medrano, Gabriel Medrano, and Isaiah Little; a brother, Floyd Gunn (Cynthia) of Alvarado, Texas; a sister, Suzette Miller (Steve) of St. Joseph, Missouri; many Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, and Cousins. Matthew grew up in St. Joseph, Missouri, graduating from Benton High School. He then joined the United States Army and was in Berlin when the Berlin Wall came down, he also served during Desert Storm and was apart of the Hawk Missile Project in Germany. After the Army, he lived in St. Joseph and worked in the food processing industry. He was currently employed by Smithfield Foods in Milan. Matthew loved having conversations with people. He also loved playing games and computers, he was a computer programmer at one time. Matthew was cremated and friends may call at the Community room at Green City Hall from 5:00 to 8:00 PM, Friday, December 28, 2018. He will be inurned at a later date at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery. Ruschmeier Funeral Home in Green City is handling arrangements.
