Obituary for Mary Elizabeth Norton WESTBROOK- Mary Elizabeth “Tootsie” Norton, 94 of Westbrook, passed away peacefully on December 29, 2018. She was born June 1, 1924 to Thomas A. Herbert, Sr. and Eleanor (Alexander) Hebert of Munjoy Hill, Portland, ME. She was a graduate of the Mercy Hospital School of Nursing program and met her beloved husband, Owen E. Norton, Sr. through her work as a nurse; they later married in 1947. A devoted mother, nurse, and loyal friend, she enjoyed traveling in her younger years, knitting, bingo, and spending time with her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and many friends that she made along the way. She is survived by her three children; Owen E. “Skip” Norton Jr. and his wife Barbara, Evelyn L. “Sissy” St. Pierre and her husband Raymond, and Paul E. “Beanie” Norton, all of Westbrook, ME. She is also survived by her loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 2-4 P.M. Thursday, January 3, 2018 at the Westbrook chapel of Dolby, Blais & Segee, 35 Church St. Westbrook, ME.
