Obituary of Marvin Alderman Marvin L. Alderman, 83, of Painted Post, NY passed away on Friday, December 7, 2018 at the Bath VA Medical Center, Bath. He was born in Corning, New York on August 5, 1935, the son of the late George M. and the late Ella V. (Jones) Alderman. Marv served in the United States Army from 1955 to 1957. He later began working for Corning Glass Works as a Millwright up until his retirement. Marv will be remembered for his love of hunting and fishing. He was a member of a Bass Club in Corning for many years. He also enjoyed watching sports, especially football and Nascar. Marv is survived by his brother, George M. Alderman, Jr. of Beaver Dams, NY; nieces, Patti Wood and Sharon Moran; and several other nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Marv was predeceased by a brother, Robert Alderman; and sister, Bernice Wetherbee. It was Marv’s request that there be no services. Carpenter’s Funeral Home, 14 E. Pulteney St., Corning has been entrusted with the arrangements.
