Lorrie (Loretta) Ellen Morris Sullivan died unexpectedly on December 21, 2018. She was born on December 4, 1937 to George and Marie (Lynch) Morris in the Highbridge Section of the Bronx. She is survived by her siblings John Morris and Joanne Adamson and predeceased by her brother Stephen Morris. Lorrie attended Sacred Heart Grammar School and St. Catherine’s High School where she graduated early. Lorrie’s adventurous spirit took her on a cross-country road trip, with her best friend Melanie, where she settled in California embarking on a new career. She created an amazing life focused on her two adoring children, Robert and Kim. She was the consummate team mom, involved in all of their activities, team parent for baseball, girl scouts, Drum and Bugle Corp Parent, Pop Warner football, cheerleading coach and hockey mom. She embarked on her next adventure by returning the family to New York where she had a long career in the real estate industry. Lorrie’s biggest joy was having her family get-togethers, which always included Rob and Kim’s friends, who she regarded as part of the family. She will be greatly missed by her loving grandchildren Kelly, Robert, Kevin Sullivan and Quinlyn Heatley, and by her daughter-in-law Lee Anne Sullivan and son-in-law Joseph Heatley. Many loving cousins, nieces and nephews and extended family survive her and will never forget her. A celebration of life will take place at Coffey Funeral Home on Thursday from 4PM to 8PM. Her Funeral Mass will be Friday at 10:30 at Transfiguration Church.
Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Lorrie Loretta Ellen Morris Sullivan December 4 1937 December 21 2018 (age 81).
