Obituary for Kathleen Linnen Kathleen Linnen Katy, age 60, passed away on November 4, 2018. She was a resident of Colorado Springs, Colorado for 30 years and she formerly lived in Texas, Louisiana and Wisconsin. She was a dedicated teacher for 35 years. Katy was born on August 30, 1958 to John Gerg and Jane Gerg (Linnen) in Waupun, Wisconsin. She started a family with Mike Kunz, beginning in 1991. Katy and Mike raised their two children in Colorado Springs. Katy had a passion for the arts. She loved crafts, weaving, knitting, sewing, photography and anything creative. She spent her late years traveling the world, enjoying music, and enjoying the adventures of life. She graduated from University of Wisconsin and University of Northern Colorado, earning a Bachelors and Masters degree in education. She is survived by her children, Brody Kunz and Maggie Kunz; and her siblings, Mary, Janey, and Bridget; She was preceded in death by her parents John and Jane. A memorial will be held at 2:00 pm MST on Saturday, December 8th at Blunt Mortuary, 2229 West Colorado Ave., Colorado Springs, Colorado. A reception will be held following the memorial.
