Joseph E. Rementer Jr., a 24 year area resident, entered into rest on Monday, December 17, 2018 at the Orange Regional Medical Center in the Town of Wallkill, NY. He was 58 years of age. The son of Theresa Rementer and the late Joseph E. Rementer, he was born on September 26, 1960 in Philadelphia, PA. Joe retired as a Lieutenant with the F.C.I. in Otisville, NY, and most recently was a driver for Mid-City Transit in Middletown. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy and was one of the founders of the Mustang Club of Orange County. Survivors include his mother, Theresa Rementer of Jacksonville, FL; his wife Lori S. Rementer at home in Middletown; his children, Shea E. Rementer of Middletown, Kyle Rementer , Ashley Rementer , Cassandra Giroux all of San Diego, CA and Ginna Neill of Turnersville, NJ; his 6 grandchildren, Anthony, Caliyah, Hailey, Alec, Makenzie and Judah; his 3 sisters, Franny Mundorf and husband Bill of Jacksonville, FL, Gloria Sitz of Jacksonville, FL and Theresa Rotella and husband Pat of Turnersville, NJ; brother-n-law and sister-in-law Stephen and Cindy Langbein of South Centerville; several nieces and nephews. Joe was predeceased by his father Joseph E. Rementer. Visitation for family and friends will be held from 2-4 & 7-9 PM Thursday, December 20th at the Cornelius, Dodd & Connell Funeral Home, 26 Grove St., Middletown, NY. Funeral Services will be held at 11 AM Friday at the funeral home. Cremation will take place at the Cedar Hill Crematory, Newburgh, NY. Memorial contributions in Joe’s memory may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, 4899 Belfort Road, Suite 300, Jacksonville, FL 32256. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Cornelius, Dodd & Connell Funeral Home, Middletown, NY.
