Joan lived her life to the fullest, with a loving and generous heart, always putting others first. She was a great tennis player, enjoyed and excelled at crafting, knitting, and sewing. She faithfully cared for family and friends through delicious cooking and baking from scratch. Joan was very active in committees and activities at Shannondale and would be the first to lend a hand to those in need. How blessed she was with good health her entire life. This vibrant, beautiful lady will be remembered as a wonderful wife, mother, Nan, sister, and friend to all. Her love of family and friends will leave us rich in memories. The family would like to offer our sincere thanks and gratitude to the doctors and staff at Blount Memorial Hospital who gave amazing care and compassion to her. Joan’s wishes were to be cremated and no ceremonies held. Do a loving act of kindness, make someone laugh, send a card, give a hug or say, ”I love you” to your special loved one, in her memory.
