Jeffrey A. Stiger, age 49, of Upper Sandusky, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, December 6th, 2018 at 2:35am at home in Upper Sandusky. Jeffrey was born on May 7, 1969 in Upper Sandusky, Ohio, to Chuck and Sandy (Voorhees) Stiger, who both survive in Upper Sandusky, along with his maternal grandmother, Leila Voorhees of Upper Sandusky, and many uncles, aunts, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Jesse and Lillian (Lawson) Stiger, and maternal grandfather, Walter “Sonny” Voorhees. Jeffrey was a member of the Nevada United Methodist Church and loved to participate in the Special Olympics, where he enjoyed basketball, soccer and volleyball. He enjoyed swimming, walking, scuba diving, riding his mini three wheeled motorcycle, and watching wrestling with his Dad. Jeffrey will be remembered for his loving spirit for his family and friends, and his love for children, and his gift of making them smile. A memorial service for Jeffrey Stiger will be private and held at a later date at the Nevada United Methodist Church, with Rev. David Smithey and Rev. Matt Garrabrant officiating. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to Nevada U.M.C., or Hospice of Wyandot County and can be sent to Lucas-Batton Funeral Home, 476 S. Sandusky Ave. Upper Sandusky, Ohio, 43351. Donations may be made to: Nevada United Methodist Church Hospice of Wyandot County
