Obituary of Edward Morgan Edward “Jim” Morgan, 75, of Cortland passed away December 26, 2018 at University Hospital, Syracuse surrounded by his loving family. He was born March 4, 1943 in Cortland. Jim was a lifelong resident of the area. He had been employed with the local Operating Engineer Union #45. Jim was a member of the Crown City CB Club. In his spare time he enjoyed morning coffee with his friends and spending time with his beloved family. He is survived by his son Malcolm (Karen) Morgan, his daughter Becky Lynn (John) Bell, his grandchildren John (Kelly) Bell and Morgan Bell, Grace Morgan, Eden Morgan, and Eliza Morgan, his great grandchildren Kailey, Madison, and Adelyn Bell, brothers in law Ron Leonard and David Russell, along with several nieces and nephews. Jim was predeceased by his parents Ed Morgan and Mary Jane Hunt as well as his wife Geraldine Leonard Morgan. A graveside service will be held in the spring for family at the McGrawville Rural Cemetery. The Wright-Beard Funeral Home is serving the family, condolences may be left at www.wright-beard.com
