In Loving Memory Alice Margaret Ford (nee Hinds) died December 23, 2018 after a long illness. She was 88 years old, just seven days shy of her 89th birthday. Beloved wife of the late William D. Ford. Devoted mother to Matthew, Patrick, Jerry, and Katie (Marc) Hall. Loving grandmother to Grace and Jackson Hall. Loving sister to Dick Hinds and to the three sisters who preceded her in death; B.L. Hinds, Pat Pettit, and Joan Watkins. Alice is also survived by many nieces and nephews, as well as their children and grandchildren. Alice was a member of St. Vincent Ferrer Church in Kenwood. A woman of great faith, she remained devoted to her parish for over 50 years, including being ordained as one of the first Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion. She loved Christmas Mass at St Vincent and stayed after Mass ended to look at the beautiful nativity scene with her children and eventually, her grandchildren. Alice embodied the full meaning of Christmas: unconditional love, unfaltering generosity, and unbounded joy. In her later years, she grew increasingly ill and unable to interact with the larger community. During those final years, Alice taught us the meaning of love, grace, and tenacity in the face of unfathomable challenge. She passed away at home as she wished; peacefully surrounded by family in a room fully decorated in the splendor of her favorite time of the year. Friends and family are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial on 12/28/18 at 10:00 am at St. Vincent Ferrer Church, 7754 Montgomery Road, Cincinnati, OH 45236. After Mass, we will proceed to the chapel at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 11000 Montgomery Rd, Cincinnati, OH 45249 for a final prayer before interment next to her husband. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to St. Vincent Ferrer Church.
Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Alice Margaret Ford 2018.
