OBITUARY Rita Ann Bockenholt November 26, 1955 – November 21, 2018 Rita Ann Bockenholt, age 62, of Saint Louis, Missouri passed away on Wednesday November 21, 2018. Rita was born November 26, 1955 in Saint Louis, Missouri to Jacquline Kountzman and Earl Kountzmann. Rita is survived by her husband, Roy J Bockenholt; daughter Tanya M Bockenholt; and son Timmy Bockenholt; brother Steve Kountzman, sister-in-law Nancy Kountzman, sister Donna Westray, brother-in-law Dennis Westray, sister Lisa Collier, brother-in-law James Collier, brother Ronnie Kountzman, sister Julie Womack and sister-in-law Debbie Bammert; grandson Zachary Dillon and grandson Jeremy Dillon. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and many friends. Rita was preceded in death by; father Earl Kountzmann and mother Jacquline Kountzman; brother-in-law Don Bammert. First and most important for Rita was her family and her friends. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and dear friend. She also had a passion for her work. She worked 43 years with SSM Rehabilitation first as a physical therapy assistant and later in her career in the clerical area. Some of Rita’s favorite things included being outdoors, swimming, going to the lake, family trips, going to school functions for the kids and grandkids anytime she could spend time with family and friends. For Rita if you were a friend you were family. Rita’s fun loving and generous presence is greatly missed, but the good memories and good example she left will always remain with those who loved her. A visitation for Rita will be held Friday, November 30, 2018 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Hoffmeister South County Chapel, 1515 Lemay Ferry Road, Saint Louis, MO 63125. A funeral service will be on Saturday, December 1, 2018 at 11:30 AM, in the funeral home chapel. The graveside service will follow the funeral, in Mount Hope Cemetery, 1215 Lemay Ferry Rd, Lemay, Missouri 63125. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Rita’s memory may be made to Pink Ribbon Girls, www.pinkribbongirls.org or Saint Louis Ovarian Cancer Awareness, www.sloca.org. Sympathies message

  1. Didn’t know her personally but worked with her husband for 30 something years. Couldn’t make it to her funeral because of situations I was dealing with at the time. Wish Roy the best and his family. Me and him worked together for many years at Mo Dot and got along very well.
