Nancy Pasternak 2018

Nancy M. Pasternak (Tufaro), 94, passed away on Thursday, November 29, 2018 at JFK Medical Center, Edison. Nancy was born in Edison and lived there for over 80 years before moving to South Plainfield. She was a civilian volunteer for the Raritan Arsenal during World War II. Nancy was a former parishioner of St. Francis Cathedral in Metuchen and St. Helena’s RC Church in Edison. She was a member of the Altar Rosary Society and volunteered for both the churches and schools. Nancy was a true seamstress who loved to make clothes, tablecloths, and many other crafts. Nancy is predeceased by her husband, Robert (1989). She is survived by her son, Robert Jr. and his wife Nancy of South Plainfield; and 2 grandchildren, Robert of South Plainfield, & Melissa Harris and her husband Justin of Middle; and many nieces and nephews. The funeral will be held on Wednesday, December 5th at 9:45am from the Costello-Runyon Funeral Home, 568 Middle Avenue (Rt. 27) Metuchen followed by a 10:15am Mass of Christian Burial at St. Francis Cathedral. Interment will be at Hillside Cemetery, Metuchen. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm.
