Julius “AppleJack” Frazier made his earthly transition after a recent and unexpected illness. For those who truly knew him as “AppleJack”, you know that he didn’t yield without a fight and he fought his way into eternity. On November 1, 2018, the gates of heaven swung wide opened to bestow upon one of their most deserving fighters, his just reward. Julius was born on January 18, 1961 to the parentage of J.C and Montell Frazier. While attending Florence Public Schools, he developed into an avid sportsman and loved to lift weights and play baseball. He earned his nickname on the baseball field when he hit a homerun with such force that he cracked his bat. His coach began calling him “AppleJack” and his legacy was born on that day. He also took great pride in his appearance and maintained impeccable levels of fitness and body build throughout his life. After graduating from West Florence High School, Julius followed in his older brothers’ footsteps for service and joined the Air Force. This branch of service was quite fitting for him as he was a member of the Air Force ROTC in high school. After finishing his term of service, Julius found joy in working with his hands as a carpenter, welder, electrician or any skill that used his hands. He also drove as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) and was recognized for being able to get his patients to the hospital in record time. Later in life upon settling down, he married Ms. Barbara James. Their union was blessed with the arrival of their only child, Destinee. Like his work, Julius took family commitment seriously and made sure his wife and daughter were taken care of in abundance. Regardless of what he did or where he was, Julius was a very hard worker. He was never without a job and never allowed anything to keep him from obtaining gainful employment to provide for his family. At the time of his passing, he was employed as a maintenance technician with Thunderbird Motor Lodge and Restaurant. When Julius surrendered to the call of his heavenly Father, he left to join his parents and older brother, Ernest. He also leaves his memories to his wife and daughter, his sisters Martha Ann Frazier, Jessie (Tony) Ham and Monya (Charles) Rutland; his brother Manson (Kenya) Frazier; sister of the heart Mishane Blount; and a loving host of family members and friends.
