Funeral services for Joni Rice Joyner, 62, of Bessemer City, NC, will be held at 1:00 o’clock p.m., Thursday, November 8, 2018, in the sanctuary of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church, Jefferson, SC. Rev. Born in Houston, TX, she was a daughter of Martha Ferguson Rice and the late Joe David Rice, Sr. She was an accountant and a member of First Wesleyan Church, Bessemer City, NC. She also was an avid reader and enjoyed traveling and hiking. Surviving in addition to her mother and husband are 2 children, Bryan Ray Joyner of Gaston, Co., NC and Amy Turner and her husband Andrew of Clover, SC; her brother, Joe David Rice, Jr. of Missouri City, TX and nieces and nephews, including Clifford Rice and Heather Rice.
