Funeral services for Joni Rice Joyner, 62, of Bessemer City, NC, will be held at 1:00 o’clock p.m., Thursday, November 8, 2018, in the sanctuary of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church, Jefferson, SC. Rev. Born in Houston, TX, she was a daughter of Martha Ferguson Rice and the late Joe David Rice, Sr. She was an accountant and a member of First Wesleyan Church, Bessemer City, NC. She also was an avid reader and enjoyed traveling and hiking. Surviving in addition to her mother and husband are 2 children, Bryan Ray Joyner of Gaston, Co., NC and Amy Turner and her husband Andrew of Clover, SC; her brother, Joe David Rice, Jr. of Missouri City, TX and nieces and nephews, including Clifford Rice and Heather Rice. Memorials in memory of Joni may be made to Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church, 2140 McBee Highway, Jefferson, SC 29718 or the American Cancer Society, 128 Stonemark Lane, Columbia, SC 29210.
