Claude H Hendrix Sr 1932 2018

Obituary for Claude H Hendrix Sr. Claude H. Hendrix, Sr., 86, husband of Ella Mae Nichols Hendrix, passed away Wednesday, October 31, 2018, at Blue Ridge Healthcare. Born February 14, 1932, in Chesterfield, he was a son of the late James L. Hendrix and the late Annie Mae Gainey Hendrix. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean War. He was a member for Grace Full Gospel Church and was a retired self-employed carpenter. Survivors include his wife of Sumter; a son, Claude H. “Mushie” Hendrix, Jr. (Judy) of Sumter; two grandchildren, Kevin Hendrix (April) and Amanda Brunson (Perry Munn) all of Sumter; five great-grandchildren, Sierra Brunson, Bailey Brunson, Turner Hendrix, Wesley Munn, and Blair Munn; and two brothers, Louis Perry “Luke” Hendrix (Molly) and Charles Elliott “Soup” Hendrix all of Sumter; and a number of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, Billy Hendrix. Funeral services will be held at 4 P.M. Saturday in the Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Carl Lavender and the Rev. Matt Cuny officiating. Burial will be in the Zoar Community Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 3 to 4 P.M. Saturday at Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home and other times at the home of his son, 900 Saltwood Rd. Memorials may be made to Grace Full Gospel Church, 1540 Bradham Blvd., Sumter, SC 29153.
