Obituary of Charles Cerra Charles G. Cerra, 67, of Peckville passed away peacefully on Friday, November 16th at Penn State Milton Hershey Medical Center with his daughters by his side. His wife is the former Cathy Piccioli, Peckville. The couple was married for 42 years. Born in Dunmore, Charlie was the beloved son of Joseph and Grace Cerra, Dunmore. He graduated from Dunmore High School in 1969 and attended Penn State University. Prior to his illness, he worked for Chamberlain. Charlie was a loving son, brother, father and grandfather and exceptionally devoted husband to his wife, Cathy. He enjoyed golfing, watching Philadelphia sports teams and spending time with his family. His greatest joy was his grandsons who affectionately nicknamed him “Peepaw”. The family would like to thank Dr. Henry Yeager for years of exceptional care. They would also like to thank the physicians and nurses at Penn State Milton Hershey for their kindness and compassion to both Charlie and his family. Also surviving are his daughters, Charlene Cerra and husband Ken Crouch, Eagleville and Cassie Walsh and husband Matt, Scranton; a sister Rosemary Cerra, Dunmore; two aunts, Pam Schwartz and Mary Ann Urso; sister and brother in law Debi and Jon Nelson; niece and nephew, Heather Hiller and John Nelson; great nephew Danny Hiller; great nieces Abbey Hiller and Larkin Nelson; two grandsons, Jackson Crouch and Theo Walsh.
