Obituary of Catherine Prygon Catherine A. Prygon, age 76, of Aston, PA passed away on November 29, 2018 at Riddle Memorial Hospital. Born in Chester, PA, Catherine was a longtime resident of Aston. Catherine was employed by Fair Acres Geriatric Center in Media, PA for many years as a nurses aide. She was a member of St. Hedwig’s Catholic Church and enjoyed spending time with her family. In addition to her parents, Joseph McCarthy and Geraldine Krauss Palaia, she is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph J. Prygon who died in 2009, son, Ronald Palaia and grandson, Matthew Palaia. Catherine is survived by 3 children, Donna Palaia, Rick (Cindy) Palaia and Debi Prygon, 7 siblings, Debby Palaia, Carl Palaia, Paul Palaia, Jim Palaia, Charles, Walter Ranck and Gloria Arnold, 3 grandchildren, Jennifer Farel, Bill Farel Jr. and Christopher Palaia and 7 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held on Thursday, December 6, 2018, 10:00-11:00AM at the Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Rd., Garnet Valley, PA followed by funeral services at 11:00AM. Interment, Mt. Hope Cemetery, Aston, PA. Donations in her memory may be made to American Cancer Society, (www.cancer.org).
