Obituary of Anantkumar Bhavsar Anantkumar “Anant” Bhavsar, 71, of State College, died Tuesday, November 27, 2018, at home. Born May 18, 1947, in Mombasa, Kenya, Anant was the son of the late Dahyabhai and Savitaben Bhavsar. On December 22, 1980 he married Norma Lacza, who survives at home. In addition to his wife, Anant is survived by his three children, Sanjay Bhavsar of New York City, Rajesh Bhavsar of Los Angeles, California and Sunil Bhavsar of New York City; and his 4 siblings, Ashwin Bhavsar married to Rama Bhavsar of Torrington, Connecticut, Tarala Bhavsar married to Jashvant Bhavsar of Clifton, New Jersey, Harshad Bhavsar married to Jyoti Bhavsar of Leicester, England and Bharati Bhavsar married to Amrish Jain of Richmond, Virginia. Anant obtained a Doctorate degree in medicine. He was an emergency room doctor at the Lock Haven Hospital for 40 years. Visitation will take place 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday, November 30, 2018 and 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. on Saturday, December 1, 2018 at Koch Funeral Home, 2401 S. Atherton Street, State College. A Memorial Mass will take place at 11 a.m. on Saturday, December 1, 2018 at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church, 820 Westerly Parkway, State College, with Father Jonathan Dickson officiating.
