Wendell “Peanut” Eldridge, 58, of Panama City, passed away Saturday, September 29, 2018. He was born September 18, 1960 in Fort Riley, Kansas. Peanut served in law enforcement and had to take an early retirement due to health issues. He spent his earlier years in wrestling professionally in matches with some of the best, such as, Bob Armstrong. Burkett. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Ernest and Elouise Eldridge. Those left to cherish his memory include his son, Joey Burkett; grandchildren, Mackinzie and J.J. Burkett; wife, Deborah Eldridge; sisters, Dianne Quick, Sonya Heathcock and husband Lee; brothers, Mike Eldridge and wife Lynne, Morgan Eldridge and wife Gail, Randall Eldridge and wife Diana; and numerous nephews, nieces, cousins and extended family members. Funeral services will begin 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at Heritage Funeral Home with Rev. Donnie Jackson officiating. The family will receive friends beginning 9:00 A.M. prior to the service. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Gardens. Those wishing to extend condolences may do so at www.heritagefhllc.com
