Richard A. Lamborne age 89 of Sturgis, Michigan passed away Wednesday afternoon, October 24, 2018 at Miller’s Merry Manor in LaGrange, Indiana. He was born August 13, 1929 in Logansport, Indiana son of the late Oliver Darl and Dorothy A. (Pear) Lamborne. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Sturgis, Life Member of B.P.O.Elks #1381 where he was a past Chairman of the Board of Trustees and was a longtime member of the Sturgis Hospital Popcorn Guild. He enjoyed gardening, doing wood crafts, playing golf and traveling. Dick loved time with his family especially when he was with his grandchildren. He is survived by his loving and dedicated wife of 65 years: Kathleen; two daughters: Jeryl Ann (Brent) Bayer of Sturgis and Karen (Roger) Wolf of Sturgis; two grandsons: Mitchell (Emily) Wolf of Three Rivers and Nathaniel Wolf of Sturgis; One brother: Douglas (Janice) Lamborne of Belding; sister-in-law: Marilyn Lamborn of Kalamazoo and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother: James Lamborn. The family will receive friends from 2:00-6:00 P.M. Sunday at the Hackman Chapel of Hackman Family Funeral Homes, 114 S. Nottawa St., Sturgis, MI 49091, 269-651-2331. Funeral services celebrating the life of Richard A. Lamborne will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday at the First United Methodist Church in Sturgis. The Rev. Jeanne Garza will officiate. A graveside committal will follow the service at Oak Lawn Cemetery in Sturgis.
