Sympathies message

  1. Dear Pearson & Whitner families,

Heartbroken seems to fit my immediate emotion after reading about Patty’s tragic passing, which I just discovered on what would have been her 65th birthday. Finding the words to express my sorrow to all of you has been difficult; I’ve never met any of the Whitners, even though Patty shared with me as I shared with her the highlights of our children’s lives over the past 28 years. Mary & Nancy were the pride of her life, and Cap was her world. Even though we delayed our communication for just a bit too long, we attempted to stay in touch via Facebook over the years. I have so many memorable experiences stored in my brain and heart of fun times and hilarious moments with Patty, Nancy & Chuck at the Pearson’s house in Virginia, where I met & instantly became best friends with the Pearson girls; they were like sisters to me that I never had, and Chuck was always included in our silliness. From her photos, I know that Patty lived a joyful and compassionate life with animals. Our circle of friends shared our deep care and love for animals, so it is fitting for her to have chosen the Humane Society over flowers in her memory. May she rest in eternal peace and love. I will be keeping her memory in my heart forever, and prayers for all the Pearsons, Whitners & Yeamans.
