Lynne Caldeira, 60, of Milford passed away Friday, Sept. 28, 2018 in the Milford Regional Medical Center, Milford. She was the wife of Manuel L. “Manny” Caldeira. Lynne and her husband were foster parents to more than 40 children during the past 12 years. Lynne was born July 24, 1958 in Providence, RI the daughter of the late Vincent Carlevale and Rena T. Lynne had been a resident of CT and Bellingham before moving to Milford in 2006. Mr. and Mrs. Caldeira celebrated their 15th wedding anniversary this past April. Lynne was a member of the New England Chapel in Franklin and enjoyed making decorative soaps. Lynne and her husband were dog breeders of maltese. In addition to her husband Manny, she is survived by four sons, Thomas and his wife Amy Piazza, Michael Piazza, Cabeb Caldeira and Vincente Caldeira all of Milford, two daughters, Mary Piazza of Hartford, CT, Zoe Caldeira of Milford, two brothers, William Carlevale of E. Hampton, CT, Gregory Cheverier of Newington, CT, two sisters, Cynthia Morris of Milford, PA, Diane Taylor of Delray, FL 5 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Lynne spent a great deal of time at the Dana Farber Cancer Center undergoing treatments for cancer to prolong her life so she could spend more time being a mother to her young children and maintain relationships with many of her foster children. “Please stop smoking so you can enjoy your loved ones for a long period of time”. Visiting hours will be held Thursday, Oct. 4, 2018 from 10 – 11 AM in the BUMA SARGEANT FUNERAL HOME, 42 Congress St., Milford followed by a funeral service at 11 AM in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, corner of Cedar St. and Dilla St., Milford.
