John Henry Strauch, 83, of Mount Pleasant, SC, passed away on October 24, 2018. John was born on November 25, 1934 in Baltimore, MD, son of Eva Kuhn and John Strauch. He attended Catholic schools in Baltimore and received his Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Loyola College. John was preceded in death by his loving wife Eileen (Walsh). John and Eileen raised their family in Glenn Dale, MD, outside of Washington, DC, where John was a CPA for the Department of Health and Human Services.… Read More » He retired in 1992 and relocated to Mt. Pleasant soon after. He is survived by his son John (Joan) of Orlando, FL, daughter Mary (Steve) of Twin Lakes, WI, and granddaughters Kristen, Beth, Stephanie, and Brett. John was an avid golfer at Glenn Dale Golf Club in Maryland and Snee Farm Country Club in Mt. Pleasant. He was a faithful parishioner, cantor and choir member at Church of the Ascension in Bowie, MD and at Christ Our King Catholic Church in Mt. Pleasant. John was a season ticket holder for the Baltimore Colts until their departure and a charter season ticket holder for the Washington Capitals. He and Eileen enjoyed traveling, especially to visit their children and granddaughters. A funeral mass will be held on November 2, 2018 at 10 AM at Christ Our King Catholic Church, 1122 Russell Drive, Mt. Pleasant, SC 29464.
