“God sent his son, They called him Jesus He came to love, Heal and forgive He lived and died, To buy my pardon An empty grave, Is there to prove My Savior lives” Our beloved, Deacon John G. Moore, age 74 of Hertford, NC, departed from this earthly life to be with His heavenly father on Wednesday morning, October 24, 2018 at the Sentara Albemarle Medical Center, with his family by his side. “Because he lives, I can face tomorrow Because he lives, All fear is gone Because I know he holds the future And life is worth the living, Just because he lives…” Arrangements are pending at this time. Final Care and Compassionate Services are being expressed to the Moore and connected families by the Mitchell Funeral Care and Cremations, Elizabeth City, NC. As a verse of the hymn loved so much by Deacon Moore, we can be comforted as it simply says: “And then one day, We’ll all cross the river And fight life’s final war with pain And then, as death gives way to victory I’ll see the lights of glory and I’ll know he reigns”

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of John G Moore April 21 1944 October 24 2018 (age 74).
