Janice Annette (“Jan,” Squirt”) Jackson, born on July 23, 1958, was preceded in death by her father, Jesse Edward Jackson; mother, Tommie Donoho Jackson; and brothers, Jerry Edward Jackson and Kenneth Lee Jackson. Jan is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Debbie Jackson (Reggie) Holland of Bowling Green, Ky and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. Jan passed away on Saturday, October 13, 2018. Jan was a beacon of light and joy, expressing love to others by calling them “fritty.” Outliving her life projection at birth by more than 40 years, Jan developed a love of knitting, coloring, cooking and eating. Those who knew her can envision Jan sitting with one leg crossed over the other, rocking gently back and forth, her capabilities out performing her born abilities. She enjoyed listening to country music, spending many of her days watching CMT. Her facial expressions and verbal cues let you know where you stood, good or bad, and she used nicknames for many loved ones. Her laughter was both boisterous and contagious. She loved Santa and tending to baby dolls, and she thoroughly enjoyed celebrating her birthday. A simple soul with a golden heart, Jan’s loved ones are comforted to know that she is enjoying a new birth in a flawless body with an endless life. “I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well.” Psalm 139:14. Graveside services will be conducted on Tuesday, October 16, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. with by J. W. Greanead officiating, from the Anderson & Son Memorial Park where Janice will be laid to rest beside her parents.
