PALMYRA-James H. Hayden, 78, died peacefully on Saturday, September 29, 2018, with his loving wife by his side at his home in Palmyra. James was born on July 25, 1940, the son of the late Merritt and Beulah (Turner) Hayden. He attended John Bapst Memorial High School and graduated from Bangor High School with the class of 1959. He worked for Eastern Fine Paper in Brewer for 10 years and retired from Bangor Hydro after 25 years of service. He installed septic systems for neighbors and… Read More » friends and he and his wife established the White Pines Estates Mobile Home Park in Eddington. Jim was a hard worker and enjoyed lots of recreation. Fishing, four wheeling, camping, snowmobiling and motorcycling were some of his favorite things to do. He always looked forward to going on the yearly hunting trips with his brothers. He was a talented musician and craftsman and he liked to build his own oak furniture. He is survived by his loving wife, Lianna Hayden of Palmyra; her three children; his two daughters; several grandchildren; and one great grandson. He was predeceased by his parents; and three brothers. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, October 14, 2018, at the Shorey-Nichols Funeral Home, 191 Hartland Avenue, Pittsfield.
