OBITUARY Gladys Charlotte Glaze August 29, 1961 – September 27, 2018 Play Tribute Movie Mrs. Gladys Charlotte Caraway Glaze, “Charlotte”, has lost her battle with cancer and its lasting effects. She passed away peacefully in St. Vincent’s Hospital on September 27, 2018 ; she was 57 years old. Charlotte is survived by her husband, Samuel; her sons, Joshua and Matthew; and daughter-in-law, Harley; her sisters Sheila Redwine of Ft. Walton Beach Florida, Donna Lamb, and Francis Keating of Jacksonville, Florida. She is preceded in death by her father, Donald; mother, Ruth; and brothers Tillman and Jeffery Caraway. Charlotte was born on August 29, 1961 in San Diego California, was a graduate of Robert E. Lee High School, June 1980. She held an A.A. degree from FSCJ of Jacksonville, Florida, and a B.A. from FSU in Tallahassee, Florida. She married Samuel in Morganton, North Carolina on May 26,1984; they have been residents of Jacksonville, Florida since May of 1985. Charlotte was a talented artist, baker, a lover of music, camping, and dancing. She had a radiant and infectious smile. For the past 12 years, she was employed by CFI Marketing where she held positions in data entry, proof reading, and artist. She was extremely passionate about her family, art, history, music and politics. A visitation and celebration of life service will take place at Hardage Giddens Funeral Home 7242 Normandy Boulevard, Jacksonville Florida 32205. The viewing will be held on Wednesday, October 3, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. for friends. Her celebration of life service will start at 2:00 p.m. on October 4, 2018.
