OBITUARY Elmo Montague Brown May 19, 1939 – October 15, 2018 Elmo Montague Brown peacefully passed away at home surrounded by family on Monday, October 15, 2018. Elmo was a devoted and loving husband to Mary Eades Brown for 54 years. He was born on May 19, 1939 in Monroe to the son of the late John William and Rosa Henson Brown. Elmo was a faithful member of Monroe Church of God. In addition to his parents, Elmo is preceded in death by two grandchildren, Skylar Storm Brown and Draven Dakota Brown; daughter-in-law, Danielle Brown; and three sisters, Eva Mason, Evelyn Staton, and Frances Foster. Elmo is survived by his wife Mary E. Brown; his children, Paul Brown (Ginger), Matt Brown, Rosa Campbell (Brad) and Troy Brown (Charity); grandchildren, Greg Brown, Phillip Brown (Amanda), Ryan Kreuziger, Kali Combs, Hannah Brown, Summer Brown, Troy Lee Brown, and Hunter Brown; great grandchildren, Ayden Brown, Jayce Brown, and Alaynna Combs; and brother, James Wesley Brown. The family would like to thank Seven Hills Home Health and Hospice for providing exceptional care during his illness and special thanks to special nurse and friend, Holly Booker. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm on Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at Whitten Monelison Chapel and also at other times at the residence. A funeral service will be held at 11 am on Thursday, October 18, 2018 at Whitten Monelison Chapel with Pastor James Witten, Pastor Susan Lewis, and Pastor Matthew Winebarger officiating.
